Tessa James reveals baby "born months ago"

<p>In a time where broadcasting every event on our lives on social media for the world to see is the norm, it might seem strange for a celebrity to keep the birth of their child a secret, but one former Home and Away star has done exactly that.</p> <p>Tessa James posted the first photo of her new bub with her partner, former NRL star Nate Myles, last Friday, which was surprising to fans who didn’t realise she was pregnant.</p> <blockquote style="background: #FFF; border: 0; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 658px; padding: 0; width: calc(100% - 2px);" class="instagram-media"> <div style="padding: 8px;"> <div style="background: #F8F8F8; line-height: 0; margin-top: 40px; padding: 50.0% 0; text-align: center; width: 100%;"> <div style="background: url(data:image/png; base64,ivborw0kggoaaaansuheugaaacwaaaascamaaaapwqozaaaabgdbtueaalgpc/xhbqaaaafzukdcak7ohokaaaamuexurczmzpf399fx1+bm5mzy9amaaadisurbvdjlvzxbesmgces5/p8/t9furvcrmu73jwlzosgsiizurcjo/ad+eqjjb4hv8bft+idpqocx1wjosbfhh2xssxeiyn3uli/6mnree07uiwjev8ueowds88ly97kqytlijkktuybbruayvh5wohixmpi5we58ek028czwyuqdlkpg1bkb4nnm+veanfhqn1k4+gpt6ugqcvu2h2ovuif/gwufyy8owepdyzsa3avcqpvovvzzz2vtnn2wu8qzvjddeto90gsy9mvlqtgysy231mxry6i2ggqjrty0l8fxcxfcbbhwrsyyaaaaaelftksuqmcc); display: block; height: 44px; margin: 0 auto -44px; position: relative; top: -22px; width: 44px;"></div> </div> <p style="color: #c9c8cd; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 17px; margin-bottom: 0; margin-top: 8px; overflow: hidden; padding: 8px 0 7px; text-align: center; text-overflow: ellipsis; white-space: nowrap;"><a style="color: #c9c8cd; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: 17px; text-decoration: none;" href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Be8z_BFlfFs/" target="_blank">A post shared by Tessa James (@tessacharis)</a> on Feb 8, 2018 at 1:06pm PST</p> </div> </blockquote> <p>While she’s keeping the baby’s name and gender secret for the moment, James says the little bub is going well and the experience has been a special, wonderful time.</p> <p>“(Motherhood) is incredible. The world is the way it is, you can’t keep everything to yourself but while I can, I will,” she said.</p> <p>What are your thoughts?</p> <p><em>Hero image credit: Twitter / TVWEEKmag</em></p>

Exciting news for former Home and Away star Tessa James

<p>The past few years haven’t been kind to former<em> Home and Away</em> star Tessa James, after she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma when she was just 23 years old. Now, three years later, the actress is in remission and has some exciting news to share.</p> <p>According to the <a href="http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/sydney-confidential/tessa-james-baby-joy-after-cancer-battle/news-story/2d8438e03f94c9f5c03a4a372f9f692f" target="_blank"><strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Daily Telegraph</span></em></strong></a>, the 26-year-old and her NRL player husband, Nate Myles, are expecting their first child. Reportedly five months pregnant, the couple are said to be “overjoyed”.</p> <p>Tessa’s agent confirmed the pregnancy as she attended the David Jones Spring Summer fashion show on Wednesday night, where she covered her burgeoning bump with a stunning lacy red frock.</p> <p><img width="500" height="548" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/40953/inset_500x548.jpg" alt="Inset" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"/></p> <p>It’s an especially exciting time for the couple, who have spent the last few years in a state of uncertainty as Tessa underwent treatment for her cancer. Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald in 2016, she revealed what kept her strong throughout the rough times.</p> <p>“I got through it because I had to get through it,” she said. “What was the other option? To sit and feel sorry for myself? I think I had to hit that low point, to be in so much pain and so upset and so traumatised, to then have that sense of empowerment again – I can get through this.”</p>
